How to start?
You may start from clicking any polls in http://www.setpoll.com/index.php. There is no need for users to login if your are only browsing, voting and commenting the polls.

How to set up my poll?
You have to Sign up and get an "Id" and "password" in order to set up your own poll. After Logging in, click the Add New Poll button in the index page. You can add up to 10 items to your poll. Choose the checkbox “Allow more than one answer” if you want so. You can also use a percentage meter instead of specific items. Adding photos and youtube link can help to make your poll more attractive.

How to edit my poll?
Choose the Edit My Poll button in the index page to perform delete, update and add item functions, etc. The only thing you cannot do is to shift between the percentage meter and specific items.

How to promote my poll?
Click to open your poll and you will have a link like http://www.setpoll.com/poll.php?mainId=159 at the top of your browser. Post this to your blog, facebook and website or any kinds of discussion groups to attract voters and audience.

Is it possible for somebody to manipulate the pollresult?
Yes. That’s why we have set a limitation that a voter (in terms of IP address) cannot vote in the same poll twice within 3 days. Of course, someone can still use several PCs with different IP addresses or open several accounts to boost votes but it is assumed that such activities will only have a minor effect to the poll that has over thousands of votes. If the pollresult shows an abnormal pattern (e.g. too much votes for a single item without many commentary) or someone is using software to manipulate the pollresult, we encourage all users to report this to us through the “Complain this Poll” button at the right top of the poll.

What should I do if I saw some unpleasant wordings and graphics?
Report this to the webmaster immediately through the “Complain this Poll” button at the right top of the poll. We will consider the situation and eliminate such polls, graphics or even the member accounts if necessary. If it is a poll that is set by you, we recommend you delete such wordings and graphics through the "Edit My Poll" button.

How can I terminate the vote function of my poll?
Click the “Edit My Poll” button and choose “close immediately” in the time-limit menu.

Forgot password?
Click the “Contact Us” button at the bottom of the index page. We will send you your password through the email you have registered. So it is better to frequently update your email address with the “Edit My Account” button.

How to choose a topic for my poll?
Use your imagination and avoid choosing some topics or wordings that will obviously lead to a wide gap in the pollresult. If you have an idea to start a new group, which is entirely different from movies, comics and sports, please send your idea to info@setpoll.com or leave a message to the webmaster by clicking the “Contact Us” button.

Where can I find Today's pageview?
Today's pageview is shown at the bottom of the index page. Only the hit-rate of the index page is counted. Hit-rate for each poll is shown in the blanket individually.

Where can I find the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy?
“Terms of Use” and “Privacy Policy” buttons are placed at the bottom of the index page.

Can I use setpoll.com as a youtube-sharing platform?
Yes. Upload your youtube link by clicking the "Edit My Account"button.
For a youtube link like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEPFQvIfoII, you should just enter “sEPFQvIfoII” into the textfield instead of the whole link.

Can I use setpoll.com to promote my products or businesses?
Yes. It is recommended to apply more innovative idea in your poll to promote your products. Polls with too many hard-sell advertisements may create bad feeling to the audience and will probably get low hit-rate.

Can I make friends through Setpoll.com?
Sure. We probably hope this happen. But Setpoll.com has not yet been able to offer social networking functions such as inbox, grouping, instant messaging, blog, so we recommend you to do this in facebook or other websites.

Is there any mobile voting interface?
Not yet. Hope it will be achievable in future.
